Since its inauguration in 2007, the NYU Badminton Club-Team has been at the top of its game. The team plays in national and regional competitions and this year competed against UPenn, Drexel, Columbia, and Princeton. The team is a major badminton force in the Northeast area. For the past two years, NYU has placed 2nd out of 16 schools at the Yonex Northeast Collegiate Badminton Team Championships tournament hosted in Boston. The NYU Badminton Club is one of the most diverse club sports on campus. The goal is to promote and create awareness of badminton to those in the NYU community. The club believes badminton is a great way of maintaining health, meeting new friends, and having fun.
