Houston Badminton Club (HBC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering interest in badminton in the Houston metropolitan area. HBC is operated solely by volunteers with a collective vision to make badminton available to all. Even though being the world 2nd most played sports, we have very limited proper facilities for badminton in the Houston metropolitan area. Fortunately, with the support of City of Houston, HBC function as a liaison and administrative body to help facilitate the free-badminton-for-all at the Fonde Recreation Center, an 8-court public facility, courtesy of Houston Parks and Recreation Department. In addition, HBC runs a pro bono Youth Badminton Coaching Program that provides recreational sports opportunity for children ages 7-16. Participating children receive equipment, uniforms, facility usage and expert coaching free-of-charge.
