Details
The Tellico Village Badminton Club is made up of players from all ages, teens to seniors. Player skills range from novice to expert. Our membership includes several Senior Olympics medalists. Our core group, mostly senior men and women living in Tellico Village, predominantly plays games with two players on each side of the court. Often, these games will use a "mixed doubles" format, that is, including a male and female on each team. We are a fun group who loves to play badminton...and socialize when off the court. Several times a year our Social Director organizes gatherings where we mingle, eat great food, and enjoy animated conversation. Club members have formed many long-lasting friendships over the years. Monday court time is reserved for "friendly" games. Games on Mondays are less competitive with an emphasis on just having a good time. Players are encouraged to practice new shots on this day. All skill levels may participate in the Monday games. The Club plays its games in the Chota Recreation Center gymnasium. Our members enjoy a comfortable place to play whatever the weather is outside!!! Scheduled court times are available daily from Monday through Saturday. Members choose how often they want to play. Some play every day - they can't resist a game whenever the badminton net goes up! High-level, competitive players take to the gym floor on Thursday nights. It's worth a visit to watch badminton played at its finest and discover how action-packed the game can be.

I am a novice to the game well actually used to play in the back yard but would love to start playing competitively?
