Details
In the late 1980s The Pikes Peak Badminton Club was founded by Jim Stabler and Walt Freudenberg. For a few years the players played only at the Downtown YMCA in the mornings and some evenings at the Olympic Training Center after the resident athletes were done using their courts on a given day. After the Olympic badminton athletes moved their program to California we had to find a new place to play and here we are. The Downtown Y has been very good to us and has provided three courts for us in the two upstairs gyms.

Hi there, I’m a Brit now living in the Springs, but for 6 years in Woodland Park who loves badminton but haven’t been able to find anywhere to play. I’m an active 63 year old who wants to get back into the game. Is your club still meeting and is there room for the likes of me. Look forward to hearing from you. Kindest regards. Mark
