Just letting any old-timers there know some sad news. My mother passed away on November 6, 2018. She was Beulah Mae Armendariz, (maiden name Bymaster). She was 90. She started off at McCambridge Park in Burbank playing badminton and where she met Manual Armendariz (my father) and had been in the Burbank and Glendale Badminton Clubs, then in the Pasadena Badminton Club when it was on Raymond Ave from the '50's (maybe even later 40's?) and into the early 70's. She live a long eventful life (eventful to her satisfaction). Half of her life with fond memories was fondly devoted to Badminton. The last half of her life devoted to helping people understand the Bible's relevance in our critical times. A memorial will be held for her near her Northern California Home on Saturday December 1, at 3:30 p.m. Further details may be provided if requested. Thank you for reading this. I too had fond memories of those years in badminton although just a child. I had been going through her scrapbook of badminton photos and newspaper articles, and it made me think of our club at the old armory.
